On Wednesday, September 30, Prof. Jocelyn Bell Burnell (University of Oxford) will give a general-interest seminar at the APC laboratory. Exceptionally, the talk will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the John W. Boyer Center auditorium in Paris, at 41 Rue des Grands Moulins.
Jocelyn Bell Burnell, a renowned astrophysicist, discovered the first pulsar in 1967 while working on her doctoral thesis at the University of Cambridge with Antony Hewish. She has received numerous awards in recognition of her outstanding scientific contributions and has been a member of several learned societies.
