Low-latency alerts & Data analysis for Multi-messenger Astrophysics

The workshop « Low-latency alerts and Data analysis for Multi-messenger Astrophysics », organized under the auspices of the Astroparticle Physics European Consortium (APPEC) and with support from the AHEAD2020 European project, the Institut national de physique nucléaire et de physique des particules (IN2P3) and its joint research unit the Astroparticle and Cosmology laboratory (APC), will be held on 13-14 January 2022, online.

Simons Observatory Hack Days

ISAPP

The international schools on astroparticle physics (ISAPP, https://www.isapp-schools.org/isapp-schools) are thematic schools lasting 10-15 days, addressed to MSc students, PhD students and young post-docs.

IN2P3/IRFU Machine Learning online workshop – 16-17 March

The annual IN2P3/IRFU ML workshop will take place 16-17 march (online, on both mornings)
Status reports or even expression of interest are welcome, on top of completed projects.
This is a national workshop, so students from large collaborations can show their on-going work with lightweight approval.

Registration are open https://indico.in2p3.fr/event/22938/
as well as the call for contribution (till 26th February)

Best regards
David Rousseau and Valérie Gautard

First Einstein Telescope France workshop

PCCP gender equality actions: Scientific literacy, teaching and equal opportunities

« PCCP gender equality actions: Scientific literacy, teaching and equal opportunities ».

PCCP Workshop Series : Bayesian Deep Learning for Cosmology and Gravitational Waves

Machine learning attracts a lot of interest in the fields of cosmology and gravitational-wave astronomy and may potentially lead to major breakthroughs. Its adoption by the scientific community is increasing dramatically but it does not yet belong to the toolbox of 'off-the-shelf' algorithms.

Planning gender equality actions

The Paris Centre for Cosmological Physics (PCCP) is active in outreach and dissemination activities. During 2020, the PCCP will also pursue gender equality actions.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers and administrative staff who wish to promote gender equality actions in science.

The morning lectures are open to anyone that would like to know more about gender equality actions in physics and about PCCP outreach activities.
