Sparse gravitational wave signal representation for LISA

 By Aurore Blelly, CEA

After presenting briefly the LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) mission, I will introduce the framework of sparse data representation for gravitational waves. This non-parametric approach of data analysis results in a flexible modeling that enables us to separate signal and noise. It also offers an efficient way to deal with issues such as data gaps or mixed sources phenomena. I will present how the framework adapts to the problem of data gaps and show that the solution it provides can mitigate the impact of missing data. I will illustrate the process with an application on LISA Data Challenge 1-3 (verification binaries).

The connextion instructions will be communicated shortly.
