The DAMNED experiment: Space-time separated clock experiment searching for ultralight scalar field
DArk Matter from Non Equal Delays” (DAMNED) is a new experiment that aims to check for space or time variation of physics fundamental constants through a space-time separated experiment running at the Paris Observatory. A three arms Mach-Zender experiment allows us to compare an ultra-stable cavity to itself in the past through the delay created by a multi kilometer long optical fiber. A massive scalar dark matter field (DM) would create oscillation in the fundamental constants therefore yielding modulation of our interferometer beatnote. Thanks to our setup, we aim to constrain a new combination of the DM coupling constants.
