Le centre Cosmos, sciences et sociétés lance son nouveau site de médiation scientifique en astrophysique

En 2025, le Paris Center for Cosmological Physics (PCCP) est devenu le centre Cosmos, sciences et sociétés (CSS). Ce changement de nom s’accompagne désormais d'un nouveau logo et d'un nouveau site internet. Une évolution qui réaffirme l’ADN du centre : une structure de médiation scientifique rattachée au laboratoire APC qui œuvre pour créer des liens entre la recherche fondamentale en astrophysique et la société civile. Study of high-order harmonics and development of a cryostat for the MAGDEM prototype of the CERN ISOLDE Recoil Separator

The ISOLDE experiment at CERN aims to study the structure and dynamics of radioactive nuclei and their applications. The high-energy scientific program developed with the HIE-ISOLDE post-accelerator requires a high-resolution equipment to analyze the reaction fragments. The Spectrometer described in the Letter of Intent LoI-INTC-I-228 aiming to developing a detailed design study of the so-called “ISOLDE Superconducting Recoil Separator” (ISRS) was approved in 2021 by the ISOLDE and Neutron Time-of-Flight Experiments Committee (INTC) of CERN.

Le laboratoire APC coordonne, en partenariat avec le CNES (agence spatiale française) et le LESIA (Laboratoire d’Etudes Spatiales et d’Instrumentation en Astrophysique), une action de recherche et développement de spectromètre gamma dans le domaine des hautes énergies (20 keV – 20 MeV) .
