Gravitation

Dear all,

I am pleased to invite you to my PhD defense that will take place next Tuesday, October 5th at 14:00 in room Luc Valentin 454A. The defense will also be accessible via the Zoom link below.

I will present the work I have been doing at APC under the supervision of Matteo Barsuglia for the past three years on the « Development of squeezing techniques for quantum noise reduction in gravitational-wave detectors ».
Tests de la relativité générale et études bayésiennes de populations de trous noirs à l'aides d'onde gravitationnelles issues de la coalescence de binaires compactes.
The gravitation group is inviting you to the following seminar:

A flexible model for neutron star equation of state from nuclear physics

Development in multi-messenger astronomy over the last few years has
opened new facets to the hadronic matter at densities beyond our terrestrial
reach. It provides new constraints to the theories of nuclear physics, where an
absolute energy density functional is desired from ab-initio mechanisms. Under
the realm of general relativity, there is a one-to-one correspondence between
Dear all,

We are glad to provide you further information about the ceremony to be held this Wednesday starting from 4:30pm local time (UTC+1).

The event can be followed in streaming on the EGO and Virgo youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/c/EGOtheVirgoCollaboration
We will use the Youtube chat as a "Golden Book" to collect testimonials, anecdotes that you would like to tell or simply to show that you are present at this event.

For further information on the program, please refer to:

This is the 2020 meeting of the "Cosmology" working group of the Groupement de Recherche "Gravitational Waves" .

It will take place online on zoom (a link has been sent to all registered participants, if you have not received it please write to vincent.vennin@apc.in2p3.fr).

Participation is free but registration through indico is compulsory.
