Atelier PCCP : L'école française à l'épreuve du déterminisme social

Dans le cadre de ses missions d’éducation et vulgarisation scientifique, le PCCP a lancé un programme d’actions ciblées à renforcer notre capacité de compréhension et d’action face à certains défis sociaux comme les inégalités de genre et socio-économiques. Grace à l’acquisition de nouvelles compétences transverses, les scientifiques auront l’opportunité d’intégrer des bonnes pratiques et de participer de façon plus efficace au montage d’actions spécifiques dans les écoles et auprès du grand public.
 
Dans ce cadre, après deux ateliers sur les inégalités de genre, le PCCP vous propose une conference par Gaëlle Guernalec Levy :

«  Atelier PCCP : L'école française à l'épreuve du déterminisme social ».

Qui se déroulera entièrement en ligne mardi 10 novembre de 10h00 à 12h00. 

En s'appuyant sur les données récentes des sciences humaines, Mme Guernalec Levy proposera un panorama des inégalités à l'oeuvre au sein du système scolaire français, avec un focus spécifique sur les élèves des quartiers prioritaires de la politiques de la ville et sur les inégalités de genre.
Nous allons explorer les enjeux dans le parcours scolaire de primaire et secondaire, qui ont un effet très forte plus tard sur la diversité et l'inclusion des différents communautés dans les instituts et laboratoires scientifiques à tous niveaux.
 
Gaëlle Guernalec Levy, journaliste de formation, fondatrice et responsable éditoriale du site d'information GYNGER destiné aux professionnels de l'éducation et de la parentalité ainsi que fondatrice de l'association PAPOTO (Parentalité pour tous) dédiée à l'accompagnement des parents vulnérables sur un plan psycho-social. 
 
L’atelier est ouvert à toutes et tous ces intéressés aux sujets de la diversité et de l’inclusion.

According to its missions on scientific education and outreach, the PCCP initiated an action programme aimed at strengthening our capability to understand and act on some societal issues such as gender and socio-economic inequalities. By acquiring new soft skills, researchers will be able to integrate good practices and enhance the impact of future outreach actions, whether it is in schools or towards the general public.
 
In this context and after the previous two workshops on gender inequalities, the PCCP is glad to invite you to a seminar by Gaëlle Guernalec Levy :
 
«  Atelier PCCP : L'école française à l'épreuve du déterminisme social ».

That will take place completely online on Tuesday, 10th November from 10.00 to 12.00.
Note: the seminar will be in French.

Based on recent data in social sciences, the speaker will draw an overview of the inequalities playing a role in the French school system, with a focus on pupils from under-privileged area and on gender inequalities.
We will tackle the issues in the primary and secondary education cycles that impact so strongly later on diversity and representation in scientific institutes at every level.
 
Gaëlle Guernalec Levy, has a journalist background. She is the founder and publisher of the GYNGER website dedicated to professionals of education and parenting. She is also the founder of the association PAPOTO (Parentalité pour tous) devoted to give a psycho-social support to parents in challenging social contexts.
 
The seminar is open to everyone interested in diversity and inclusion.
