ACME proposal kick-off meeting at APC - Thursday 12th of Jan

ACME - Astrophysics Center for Multimessenger studies in Europe
A HORIZON-INFRA-2023-SERV-01-02 proposal

To register for the kick-off meeting at APC: https://indico.in2p3.fr/event/28800/registrations/3406/

Coordinator: Prof. Antoine Kouchner / CNRS
The call
The call’s topic HORIZON-INFRA-2023-SERV-01-02 focuses on the provision of integrated RI services to support curiosity-driven research and advancement of frontier knowledge in three scientific domains. One of the domains is Astronomy and Astroparticle physics. The EU contribution per project is up to EUR 14.5 million, and the deadline is March 09, 2023.

The ACME proposal
We propose to answer the HORIZON-INFRA-2023-SERV-01 call by laying the foundations of the Astrophysics Centre for Multi-messenger studies in Europe (ACME), a user centered virtual infrastructure that best serves science and European leadership in the new multi-messenger astronomy and astroparticle physics domain. We will focus in this proposal on the first step, which is the bridge between the astronomy and astroparticle physics communities and facilities, as well as the creation of a coordinated network of infrastructures relevant for multi-messenger observations, by providing wider access to users to the complementary and synergetic observations with different detectors and observatories, to the data and expertise provided by excellent and cutting-edge research infrastructures, and lowering the entry barrier for neighboring yet complementary science fields.
