La conférence intitulée "Cosmologie et Physique Fondamentale" sera donnée par Elias Kiritsis lundi 28 Novembre à 16h dans l'amphi Pierre-Gilles de Gennes.

Abstract:

The main cosmology  observations: inflation and CMB, dark energy and dark matter will be reviewed, highlighting mostly what we do not understand.
How cosmology and general relativity fit with the rest of the fundamental physics of the other three interactions will be described, highlighting again major clashes.
New ideas about the nature of gravity and what they may possibly imply for cosmology, will be reviewed. They  explain some of the unusual properties of general relativity. I will end with an outlook.
