PPM-DU analysis
2.3
conversion and analysis of the PPM-DU data
|
This doxy is meant for the explanation the PPM-DOM data reading and analysis. The elaboration of the code is object oriented. The main idea is to take the raw data and to convert them into root runs and eventually events. One event consists in a list of dom with data in time coincidence (to be confirmed!).
One needs the boost (binary conversion and so many other things) and root softwares.
see part 8 - rdat at http://antares.in2p3.fr/internal/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=doms_operation for more information on the raw data
After installation just do
make
> ./analyser firstRunId lastRunId ROOToutput Ids of the run to
remove
of course you have to make sure that the right data file (.rdat) is in the right place
it should work automagically
There is a svn repository in Lyon. You can get the code there, and also upload yours. All information to set up your ssh config file and to create your public key for Lyon svn is avalaible here: https://svn.in2p3.fr/doc-fr.html#compte_infos.
But one should use the official svn repository for km3net: http://svn.km3net.de (you need an access to the database).
All data can be found here in Lyon:
iRods:/in2p3/data/raw/DOM/sea/2013/MM (with MM=04 ou 05)
sps:/sps/km3net/users/baret/km3net/ppmdom/data/
And if one needs to access the database where you can get information about the run (or to get an access to the official svn repository)
db:http://db.km3net.de
A workshop for the data analysis has been organized at APC from the 23rd to the 26th of April 2013. More information can be find on the indico page: http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=248512 password is the usual km3NeT one.
2 very useful webpages have been written for the detector operations:
for Antares, http://antares.in2p3.fr/internal/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=operations_manual
for the PPM-DOM, http://antares.in2p3.fr/internal/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=doms_operation
The mailing list used for all what concerns the ppm-dom can be found on the km3NeT wiki: http://wiki.km3net.physik.uni-erlangen.de/index.php/Main_Page
The one related to the PPM-DOM is km3net-phase1-operation. You may also find plots for the data analysis of the PPM-DOM in the section qualifications (PPMs)
Just a reminder, the Antares wiki can be found here: http://antares.in2p3.fr/internal/dokuwiki/doku.php
The Elog page for PPM-DOM operation is http://marantares.in2p3.fr:8080/ANTARES_KM3NeT/
Another elog page should come soon: http://marantares.in2p3.fr:8080/KM3NeT_ANALYSIS/
