The theory group at the Astroparticle and Cosmology (APC) laboratory invites applications for a postdoctoral research position with a focus on gravitational physics. The appointment is expected to start between April and October 2025, and last for a two-year term, with possible extension to a third year.
The successful candidate will join the group of Luca Santoni at APC, and will work on cutting-edge topics in the context of black holes, compact objects and gravitational waves.
The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in theoretical physics.
Preference will be given to candidates with a strong research record in the fields: quantum field theory, effective field theories, general relativity, black hole perturbation theory, and related areas.
Interested candidates are requested to submit an application through the CNRS portal (https://emploi.cnrs.fr/Offres/CDD/UMR7164-KEVVEL-026/Default.aspx?lang=EN), providing the following documents:
_ cover letter;
_ curriculum vitae;
_ research statement;
_ publication list;
_ three reference letters (to be sent directly to santoni@apc.in2p3.fr).
To receive full consideration, interested candidates should send the requested material before November 30th, 2024.
For inquiries, please contact Luca Santoni (santoni@apc.in2p3.fr).
