About the meetings

The idea is to meet irregularly and informally, though rather frequently, to discuss topics relevant to the B-mode physics, data analysis and experimentations. The meeting dates and topics will be decided by acclamation by the participants. The speakers will be volunteers (in a broad sense of this word).

    Summer break till September 2007, when I hope the meetings (in this or somewhat different form) will resume. In meantime any suggestions and comments about the meeting organization and topics for the discussions are more then welcome (contact info).

    Possible topics for future discussions:

  • Polarized foregrounds.
  • Systematic effects in the interferometric B-mode experiments.
  • Extended technical discussion on quadratic estimators of the lensing potential and its application to the B-mode cleaning.
  • Extended technical discussion on maximum likelihood estimators in the context as above.
  • The lensing potential reconstruction and B-mode cleaning in the presence of foregrounds (paper by: Amarie et al, Phys.Rev. D72, 123006, (2005) [pdf]).
  • Is there a fundamental lower limit on r ?
