.. _introduction: The General Program (GP) ======================== The Observatory Science of SVOM, as opposed to the Core (GRB) Science of the mission, is the science dedicated to non-GRB targets and is implemented through two observation programs: the General (GP) and the Target of Opportunity (ToO) Programs. The first one is the preplanned program of observations of sources that is carried out while waiting to detect and repoint a GRB. As outlined in AD1 it will include observations of typical high-energy sources like Active Galactic Nuclei, X-ray Binaries, pulsars and CVs. ToO are unplanned of important transient sources or events, that cannot be foreseen, triggered by detections by SVOM or by other observatories. The processing of all SVOM observation data of the French on-board instruments, from L0c to L3 level that will generate science products of type SP1, SP2, SP3 (for the Core Program) or level 1, 2 and 3 (for the General Program), shall be performed at the FSC, possibly hosted at the CC-Lyon. For each of the three SVOM distinct observing programs, the Core Program (CP), the General Program (GP) and the Target of Opportunity (ToO) Program, one or more scientific data processing shall be implemented at FSC. This document describes the General Program processing at FSC and the software components that will be used for it. Part of the software will be common to the different processes of the programs. In particular the ToO program will use most of the processes and software developed for the GP.
