2012

  • Nov 30, 2012:
The MIDAS'09 project officially ended on November 30, 2012. We would like to thank all of those who contributed to its success. We of course hope to continue working on all new ideas, which have emerged during the fruitful and stimulating 3 years of the project. We will also keep on using the tools and algorithms developed by the project, as well as maintaing the publicly available, middle-layer CMB library, MIDAPACK, which we will continue distributing via this site.
  • Nov 30, 2012:
Frédéric Deauvergne has concluded his work for the MIDAS'09 project. Frédéric worked on the development of the MIDAPACK library and in particular on the implementation of its Toeplitz algebra module Frédéric will continue as a software engineer with Maison de Simulation (CEA, INRIA, CNRS, Université Paris-Sud et Université de Versailles - St Quentin).
  • Nov 30, 2012:

During his time with the project Mikolaj has developed the GPU-compliant version of spherical harmonic transforms (distributed as part of the S2HAT software) as well as a new set of preconditioner for map-making software in the CMB context. This latter work has been presented during the Supercomputing'12 conference in early November. Mikolaj's next post is with Maison de Simulation (CEA, INRIA, CNRS, Université Paris-Sud et Université de Versailles - St Quentin).
